Little Wonders from Past Litters
Rascal {Meg x Skeet}

Thought I would share these with you - Rascal is loving camping!  He loves playing in the water, running the hills and cliffs and getting dirty.  We get lots of compliments on him - he's handsome (even wet and sandy LOL), very well behaved (has the basic obedience learnt) and very friendly.  He is just the dog we were hoping for and has blended into the family very well - although he is truly a momma's dog...follows me everywhere and does the SERIOUS bum/body wiggle when I get home from work he's so excited to see me!

We go camping every weekend and he has learnt that trailer + truck = LOTS of fun.....get plenty of sleep on the drive out!

Oh....while we were at Riding Mtn this girls calls out....is that Rascal?  Turns out it's the daughter of the lady who bought Rascal's sister and is taking lessons with Jean.  Small world!

Talk to you later.    Tina

November 2010
Our camping season has sadly come to a close but I thought I would share pics from our last two outings (Bemidji, USA and Steeprock).  As you can see, our boy loves playing in the water and the leaves.  He is growing so fast and is smart as a whip (as if we expected any different).
Looking forward to seeing the new litter on the website (which I visit frequently).

Violet
I will never forget the instant connection I had with you before we left with Violet that bitter cold night in the dead of winter.  Violet is our forever dog.  She is very heathy at her young age of 7 years old now. Everyone that meets her always says how beautiful she is... we are so blessed to have her in our family.  I am so happy to reconnect with you.  Have a great day: ) Leah
Shyloh {Bobby outof Kit}
Shyloh is a daughter to Bobby who is a Kit daughter.  {from the Kennel of Karen Sheets in Alberta}  Bobby is pictured on the left side-bar of this website.  Shyloh belongs to Courtney.
***I have done a ton of competing in agility actually. We just got our first title last week, and we need one more qualifying round to be completely out of starters. We have gotten 9 qualifying rounds and when we don't qualify, we are SO close to it. My website is www.courtneyandshyloh.weebly.com and there are other pictures on there!   Courtney.  Dec 2011
Sophie & Rebecca {Kit x Taz CBCA 4507}
They are the most wonderful dogs. So different in all they do. Sophie (the small one) is high energy at all times and never never gives up. She is never seen walking she is always moving and working. Becky is completely the opposite and very laid back with not alot of ambition to do much except dig for mice and be the watch dog. She will NOT go in a vehicle and is very happy to be at home. Sophie can hardly wait to go and will travel all day with Richard whether on the tractor or in the pick up.
They are great and you can tell your husband they don't go on the puppie school bus anymore but they both still have their pack sacks.   Jacqui

Becky and Sophie the best "puppies" as we call them there could possibly be.   2010 summer
We love to hear from our puppy families and enjoy their stories and watching their milestones.  Here are some of their pictures and comments.
Libby {Brit x Skeet} Oct 2010
Hi Lorna,  We have named her Libby. We couldn't have asked for a better puppy. She travels perfectly in the vehicle, lays on her back with legs in the air sound asleep right from day one on the trip home. She is already house trained, hits a bell hanging off of the doorknob when she needs to go and I am working on training her walking with a leash. It seems that it only takes about 10-15 times of doing something with her and she has learned it. Went through a stage of her chewing and biting but that seems to be almost done. We had her at a vet on her 10th week for shots and he found her to be very healthy and well behaved.
I could go on for hours about her, almost wish we would have gotten 2 pups from you. ALMOST, LOL.  Thanks again for everything. She is everything we expected and more.    Stuart
Benton {Brit x Skeet} Oct 2010
Hi Lorna,    Thought I would give you an up date on Benton. He is doing great! Benton is already house trained, no problems for weeks. He is also crate trained, he sleeps in his crate at night and regularly goes into the crate after a long day at camp. He knows the come, sit and down commands. If I say so myself he is the star of his puppy kindergarten class. We walk three times a day and he loves going out to the scout camp for a walk off the leash.  He had a medical check and every thing is great.  Benton loves to herd things including dogs twice his size, my friends call him energy with four legs. He is great with people, children and other dogs. We had an open house over Christmas and again Benton was a star.  He is growing it seems every day. You sure picked the right dog for me.  I have attached a few pictures, they are a few weeks old so he is even bigger now. In one of the pictures I tried to hold him like I did the day we came out and got introduced so you can see how he has grown. I will send some pictures of us "working" at the camp in a few weeks.  Thanks again.   Mike

Star {Meg x Skeet}
In September (2011), Star had 7 out of 10 Qualifying runs with 3 first places we are very proud of her as she is only 18 months old. Star loves to play ball, Frisbee, sprayed with the water hose, watch any animal shows in HD on our big screen TV, snuggle like a lap dog, play with her big sister, camping, and really loves agility.  She is very smart and has made a great addition to our family. Stars parents are Meg & Skeet   Star lives in Prince George, BC.

One thing we did forget to mention with Stars first agility trial ...Star came in 3rd in Steeple chase event ( this is an event where starter dogs can compete with with master dogs in agility,, its an all out race through an agility course best time wins.) Stars big sister Dazzle was first, Star only missed 2nd by a  20th of a second ...that was so amazing for a starter dog first ever agility trial... we love her lol.     Take care,  Mike
Tweed {Kit x Skeet}

I just took these pictures of Tweed.  We have had snow, usually unheard of for the middle of February not to mention March 2!  Thank goodness it is melting.  Tweed loves the snow, we throw snow balls and she jumps into the air trying to catch them.  She is very full of energy and very smart.  She Loves to search for Paul.   Darlene

October 6, 2011  Lorna, I thought you might appreciate another picture of Tweed. Her SAR training is going well. She passed her helicopter orientation like a pro.  Here she is being loaded in by me with the Helo at a hover.   Paul
Tetley {Kit x Skeet}

Tetley is doing fabulous, she is a great girl!!  She know sit, lie down, shake a paw, stand and is beginning to know stay.  I have started her on a leash but slowly she is getting the hang of it.  She is very personable and loves people and other dogs.  I am trying to keep her mingled with different dogs so she gets used to it.  Will be good for at trials, that way she won't be nervous about that.  She loves her food and drinks a ton of water.    Maegan  Feb 2011

Missy {Skeet x Kit} July 2011
Missy {DOB: July 4 2011}
Meg {Skeet x Spot}
Cortina { Meg x Skeet} 2010

I've attached some photos from one month ago, of Corti (Skeet/Meg), then around seven months. She's a wonderful pet, gets lots of exercise (walking, jogging, dog-parking), lots of affection, and seems to get along very well with humans and other dogs. She has a very strong chase instinct, which we're trying to work with, and wants to work very hard at herding any mammal.  All in all, she's a wonderful household addition.     Chris       Nov 14, 2010

Alli {Kit x Skeet}

Hey Lorna, just thought I would give you a quick update on Miss Alli. She is doing great. The first day was a little rough as expected as Tom did not like the idea of another dog getting attention. After that they have been great. Running and playing constantly. Alli has had no accidents in the house and knows her name, come, sit and down. We took her to our vet and he says that she is a very healthy little girl.     Sue, Craig and Tyson  (2nd week update)

Hey Lorna, thought I would give you a quick update on Alli. She is doing very well. She listens extremely well as when she is in the front yard she doesn't even need a leash. She is glued to our other dog Tom and doesn't leave his side. They get a long great.  She does really good at chasing the Frisbee but has not figured out how to bring it back yet. They look forward to their daily Frisbee run in the park. She is so affectionate and loving. She wiggles when we come in the door. It is awesome.  May 2010

Kasie {Tiny 2006}

Hi There,
It's been a year since we brought Kasie home and I thought you might like to see what a beautiful dog she is so I've attached a few pictures that I took of her today. She is a real family dog who loves to play. Her favourite toys are her tennis balls and catapult. In the picture you can see the catapult that Kole built for her. She lays beside the catapult with the ball in her mouth waiting for someone to shoot another ball off so that she can retrieve it.
Kasie travels really well and if we take her for a truck ride and have to leave her in the truck while we go into the store she doesn't destroy anything. She is very good alone in the house  and everyone who meets her comments on her calm temperament.
Kole talks about coming to see you so that he can show Kasie to you.
If ever you have someone in doubt about purchasing one of your pups, just show them the pictures of Kasie and you can tell them to contact me as we are very pleased with Kasie.
Hope you enjoy the pictures and the update.  Happy Lambing
Denise, Gerry and Kole D.

November 2010
Your web page is great, and I was hoping to bring Kasie to a Fun Day should you have one in the near future. Although she prefers to spend her time with humans rather than other dogs, I would like to bring her to show you what a beautiful dog she turned out to be. Could you please let me know if you intend to organize one of these event again.  Thank you
Denise, Gerry, Kole and Kasie

Face Value: Sheep & Smiles
It seems sheep are discerning eaters?at least when it comes to who serves them. In a 2004 study, researchers at Cambridge University in England gave sheep the choice of two doors to push open to get food. One door depicted a smiling human, the other an angry one. By a vast majority, the sheep chose the door with the smiling face.
